Does my child stay with me during class?
Yes—especially at the beginning! Preschool Prep & Play is designed as a caregiver-and-child class, so you'll participate alongside your child as they build confidence and independence.
As the year progresses, some children may be ready to spend part—or occasionally all—of class independently. If you and the teacher both feel your child is ready, you're welcome to try a gradual transition.
Parents always remain on-site and can comfortably watch the entire class through our observation window, so you're never far away if your child needs you.
Is this a preschool?
No. This is a Montessori-inspired enrichment class designed to prepare children for preschool through play, routines, and meaningful learning experiences.
However, many families choose this program because it offers the best of both worlds. Some children attend alongside preschool, some use it as their primary enrichment experience before school, and many homeschooling families participate to provide social interaction, routine, and hands-on learning opportunities.
Our focus is helping children develop confidence, independence, classroom readiness, and a love of learning in a warm, play-based environment.
What should we wear?
Comfortable play clothes are best! We encourage children (and caregivers) to dress for movement, exploration, art, and hands-on activities. Since we may occasionally use materials that get a little messy, we recommend wearing clothes that are easy to play in.
Is unlimited open play really included with tuition?
Yes! Unlimited regular open play is included for every child enrolled in Preschool Prep & Play for the duration of their enrollment.
That means your weekly class is just one part of the experience. Come back throughout the week to practice new skills, build friendships, and enjoy everything Wonder Village has to offer during regular open play hours.
