Rooted in Care: Why Blue Pinwheels Matter đź’™

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

And while that can feel like a heavy topic, for us, it comes back to something simple and important…

Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and protected.

The blue pinwheel has become a symbol of that.
A symbol of happy, healthy childhoods… and a reminder that it takes all of us to help create them.

At Wonder Village, this is something that sits close to my heart.

Not just as a business owner,
but personally.

I’ve made it my mission in life to nurture children and recharge parents…
because while we can’t control everything a child may face in the world,
we can create spaces where they feel safe, supported, and surrounded by care.

A place that feels soft to land in
for both children and the people raising them.

We don’t claim to fix everything.
But we do believe in the power of community.

When families feel supported,
when children feel seen,
when you have a village around you…
it changes what people are able to carry and overcome.

And that belief comes from experience.

My prayer is that through awareness, connection, and spaces like this…
we can be part of something that protects, supports, and uplifts children in ways both big and small.

This month at Wonder Village, we’ll be honoring that in a simple, meaningful way.

We’ll have blue pinwheels available while supplies last — a small symbol with a big message.

We’ll also have pinwheel coloring sheets available for children to take home, bring back, and be part of something together. At the end of the month, we’ll choose a few to highlight and gift a month of open play.

It’s not about doing something big or complicated.
It’s about creating small moments of awareness, conversation, and care.

Because protecting children doesn’t belong to one person…
it belongs to all of us.

And when we come together as a community,
we create something really powerful.

If this cause is meaningful to you too, we’d love for you to take part this month 💙
